THE RELATIONSHIP AMONG SELFISHNESS AND LACK OF HOME ACCEPTANCE BECAUSE SHOWN IN CARVER'S " THE NEIGHBOURS” The fact that brings nearer both terms selfishness and lack of do it yourself acceptance regarding relationship could be the big area of issue explaining how these principles are related. In explaining this in information, it will be beneficial to first define a few key terms such as selfishness and lack of personal acceptance. To define the word " selfishness” Stein (1966: 1294) provides the definition of the phrase " selfish” that is " Devoted to or perhaps caring only for oneself; worried primarily with one's own interests, rewards, welfare, etc ., regardless of other folks …. ” This means that anybody can even take advantage of the situation in which others happen to be crying.
